Videorist – Video Art Maker (iOS and Android)
Effective date: September 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Videorist – Video Art Maker app (the "App"), developed by Tran Minh Luan ("I", "me", "the Developer"), handles information when you use the App on iOS or Android. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

In short

1. Information the App processes

Photos and videos you choose

When you pick a photo or video, the App applies artistic styles to it using machine-learning models that run entirely on your device. Your media is not sent to me, to Google, or to any AI service. Finished videos are saved to your photo library only when you choose to save them. The App asks for access to your photo library only for this purpose.

Advertising data (Google AdMob)

If you use the free version, Google AdMob may collect:

Google uses this data to deliver, measure and, if you have allowed it, personalize ads. On iOS, if you do not allow tracking, the advertising identifier is not shared and you will see non-personalized ads. Premium users see no ads.

Analytics and app services (Google Firebase, iOS)

The iOS version uses these Google Firebase services:

Consent choices (Google User Messaging Platform)

In regions that require it (such as the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent to ads and data use, and stores your choice on your device.

Purchases

Premium purchases are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. I never receive your payment details. I only receive confirmation of whether your purchase is active.

Information stored on your device

The App keeps your settings and a daily free-usage counter on your device. To prevent the daily limit from resetting on reinstall, this counter (only a date and a number) is also kept in the iOS Keychain or in Google Block Store on Android, which can remain after the App is deleted. It contains no personal information.

2. Tracking and your choices

iOS: App Tracking Transparency

On first launch, iOS shows Apple's system prompt asking whether the App may track you. If you tap Ask App Not to Track, your advertising identifier is not shared with advertisers. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Android: Advertising ID

You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads, depending on your device).

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

On iOS, you can review or withdraw your consent at any time from Settings → Privacy Options inside the App. On Android, you can reset your choice by clearing the App's data, or contact me to withdraw consent.

Premium

Purchasing Premium removes all ads, so no advertising data is collected by AdMob.

3. Third-party services

These providers process data on the App's behalf under their own privacy policies:

4. How information is used and shared

Information is used to provide and improve the App, show ads that keep the App free, measure ad performance, and understand how features are used. I do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers listed above, or when required by law.

5. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, personalized advertising and related data use rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Delivering the App's features and basic, non-personalized ads rely on legitimate interests in providing and funding a free App.

6. Data retention

I do not store your photos, videos or personal information on my own servers. Data collected by Google services is kept according to Google's retention policies and my Firebase retention settings. Information stored on your device is removed when you delete the App, except the daily free-usage counter described above.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Because the App has no accounts, most data is held by Google and linked only to random identifiers. You can stop further collection by changing the settings in section 2 or by uninstalling the App. For any request, contact me at the email below and I will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact me and I will take steps to delete it.

9. Security

I use reasonable measures, including encrypted connections to Google services, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

10. International transfers

Google may process data in the United States and other countries, using safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

11. Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
